It is my great honour and gratitude to receive the Hong Kong Outstanding Award for Teachers' Ethics and Professional Conduct (2026). This accolade recognises my daily work and also serves as a responsibility and motivation, reminding me to uphold professional ethics and stay faithful to my original aspiration in education.
As an educator, I always uphold the principles of teaching without discrimination and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. I believe every student possesses unique potential. I guide them to discover their strengths and build self-confidence, hoping they will grow into responsible people who give back to society. In my role as a discipline supervisor, I educate students with compassion and strike a balance between leniency and discipline. When students make mistakes, I communicate patiently to find out the reasons, choosing guidance over mere punishment, so that education is delivered with warmth.
As an English teacher, I devote myself to teaching and keep refining my professional skills. I design thoughtful lessons, provide dedicated tutoring and encourage peer learning. I also lead students to take part in community services to care for the disadvantaged, nurturing their gratitude and sense of social responsibility. I firmly believe education is not only about imparting knowledge, but also shaping good character.
This honour is both encouragement and driving force. Going forward, I will continue to stay grounded in faith, morality, professional knowledge and kindness. I will keep working diligently, educate students with virtue, and accompany every young learner on their journey with passion and sincerity.
